Went to an event at Clapham and thought of you. It was called Local Government in Revolt about the refusal to set a rate in the 1980s under Thatcher. I remembered us going to the GLC just before it became defunct and seeing the banner with the dates for the period for which the GLC ran. Ted Knight, John McDonnell and Sharon Atkin spoke.
