I am eating far too many mince pies and wishing you were here to share them with me. You would have insisted on brandy butter with them, and on warming them in the oven first. I just devour them straight from the pack - I wish you were here to keep me civilized. I miss you during these long dark nights and short days. I miss you and love you very much always.
