Dear JemJem, Here I am again with your goodnight candle. I still love and miss you very much, and I still wish you were with me. The weather was sunny then cold then windy today, but was milder tonight. I saw Mummy today: the grounds looked quite frosty when I came and when I left. I am watching Bones again and think I will go to bed soon: I slept for two hours this afternoon, though I only meant to have a ten minute nap. I am still reading The House of Beaufort, but am only on page 176. The kingdom is still unsettled because the king is still too young to govern on his own account, and has lost most of the territories his father gained in France, thanks largely to Joan of Arc, who has now been burned at the stake. Henry VI cried when his former ally the Duke of Burgundy wrote to him referring to him only as the King of England. The Beauforts are still losing members of their family, and the legitimate sons of Henry IV are now almost all dead. Bishop Beaufort is buying his way back into favour. All my love forever Angies xxxxx
