Lit by Angies 1st February 2018
Dear JemJem, Here I am again with your goodnight candle. I still love and miss you very much, and I still wish you were with me. The weather was changeable again today, but was colder tonight. I did not see Mummy today:I needed the rest. I am watching Bones again and think I will go to bed soon: I slept for two hours after lunch this afternoon, though again I only meant to have a ten minute nap. I did start watching Elizabeth I but its historical approach annoyed me. I am still reading The House of Beaufort, but am now on page 220. The kingdom is still unsettled because although the king is a young adult he is not strong enough to control the factions among his nobility, and has lost most of the remaining territories his father gained in France. The Beauforts and Lancasters are still losing members of their family, and the legitimate sons of Henry IV are now all dead. The last children of John of Gaunt, Bishop Beaufort and Joan Countess of Westmorland, are dead as are many younger Beauforts. The future now seems invested in Margaret Beaufort. All my love forever Angies xxxxx
