I took Mummy a burger today, but she only ate half again. I am watching Witchfinder General and think I will go to bed soon: I slept for three hours after breakfast and napped after lunch this afternoon. I am still reading The House of Beaufort, but am now on page 246. The kingdom is still unsettled because although the king is now an adult he is not strong enough to control the Yorkist factions, nor avenge the bloody assassinations at St Albans, during which he himself was injured by Yorkists and Edmund Beaufort was slain. The last of his generation is dead. The future now seems invested in Henry Beaufort 3rd Duke of Somerset, who is however consumed by the desire to avenge his father's death, and Margaret Beaufort.
